About Holden
If you’re struggling to find a quality car at an affordable price, you’re in luck: Australia’s Holden models won’t drain your bank account. And with so many innovative, chic options available, you’re sure to find the vehicle for you.
Holden Car Company found its roots as a saddle-making business in South Australia in 1856. Before long, the company explored new possibilities, and by 1908, it had birthed Australia’s first mass-produced car.
By 1913, Holden was making side-car bodies and drew the attention of the U.S. carmaker General Motors, which bought Holden Car Company in 1931.

Holden facts
The combined company became a leading military hardware manufacturer during World War II. After the war, General Motors-Holden Ltd began to build vehicles for Australians until GM shut down Holden’s operations in December of 2020.
Holden models prioritised practicality and comfort, with spacious cabins and easy-to-navigate controls. Many newer models also featured innovative technology to assist drivers, such as autonomous braking, adaptive speed controls, and alerts for lane departure and possible impacts.
If you’re looking for a high-quality car with an innovative build, consider a Holden model for your new ride.
